2016-03-18 - in Georgetown (Monument anchorage)

All the boys in the group decided that they would like to sleep out tonight at, what is called, Flip Flop Beach.  There is a structure there and some were bringing hammocks and some on benches.  There were a few that braved in on the ground on a mat.  It was a fun night complete with a campfire.  All parents had their VHF radios tuned into the same channel to ensure that we were all ready to assist should they need it.  At 3:30 in the morning a little voice came over the radio.  It was one of the younger kids who was feeling a few bites from mosquitos and wanted to come back.  Within moments two parent dinghies were deployed and, as it turned out, they brought all kids back.  Connor was snug in his hammock and had to be woken up. His buddy Quinton also wanted to stay but was also returned to his boat.  Still, it was a fun night and quite a memory for them all.
